So, my parents have a lovely dog. Her name is Cinnamon and she is a Golden Retriever. And she is also adorable and silly and she loves to be wherever we are. So normally, she would also love Christmas! Duh. Isn’t she cute!?
What a silly pup!
Anywho, I made the mistake of making these awesome pup treats for her one Christmas and now it’s a requirement for me to make them for her every year! It’s not like I can say “no” to that face!
Peanut Butter Pup Treats
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
3 tablespoons peanut butter (Cinn prefers Jif)
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup oats (quick oats are fine)
Blend the wet ingredients in a large bowl. You can just use a wisk. No need to get out the Kitchenaid. Combine the dry ingredients in a smaller bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a wet dough forms. Roll out and cut into pup shapes – bones, fire hydrants, paw prints! Place on a non-stick or lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Let them cool and give them to your pup! Cinn tested, Cinn approved!
