Fall, Autumn, Fourth Quarter… whatever you want to call it, it’s my favorite time of year. There are things I love about all seasons but I love the most things about fall. What’s not to love?! In MI, we are lucky enough to have four seasons, to see the transformations outside and to be able to enjoy what the changing weather has to offer. Think about it – sunshine, no humidity, pretty fall colors, perfect sleeping weather, pumpkin, bonfires, boots, scarves, soup… the list goes on forever!
Sunday, Freddy and I decided to take a day adventure to the cider mill. It was the perfect day – 70, sunny and no rain on the horizon. Apparently the rest of southeast Michigan thought it was the perfect day too. We attempted to go to Yates Cider Mill in Rochester and decided to skip it after seeing the crowds of people comparable to Cedar Point crowds on Senior Skip Day. Intense. Instead, we went to Miller’s Big Red and found it to be much more manageable. We also found, cider and fresh baked donuts and apples and squash and pumpkins and corn and caramel apples and pie and ice cream and… WOOF! So many goodies! Good thing we didn’t buy all of that… just cider and donuts and a 1/2 peck of Honey Crisp apples (my fave!)
SO MANY APPLES!
I think it might be time to make a delightful apple treat. Stay tuned!
